Comedians and Chicken Wings

Potential Client: "We hired a comedian for last year's party and he was inappropriate and really bad. I don't think we'll hire a comedian again."

Me: "I understand completely. I once went to a place that was sort of famous for its chicken wings and ordered a basket. They were okay, so I ate them. I got really, really sick. I vowed to never eat chicken wings again... Until I did. Yeah, it took a while, and I went to a different place for the wings, but they were really good and I didn't get sick!"

One comedian doesn't represent all comedians, just as one bad basket doesn't represent all wings. Go ahead, try another wing.
