A Hypnosis Show For Adults Amidst High School (Kid) Show Season

May 14, 2015

Tonight, during what is usually post prom and post grad party season, I have the pleasure of doing a hypnosis show for a group of adults.

While the kid shows can be fun, they're generally too little of a challenge for me. It's easy to get a bunch of high-schoolers to volunteer, but it can be a little different with bunches of adults, especially if they know each other.

The adults can be apprehensive, especially if they believe they'll look foolish in front of their peers. So it takes a little more coercion and sales talk to get them to volunteer, and once they do, they can be more nervous, and hence a little harder to hypnotize, than the kids.

But... once they've volunteered and have been hypnotized, the shows themselves are usually much more rewarding. (For both myself and the audience, from what I've heard.)

Watching a group of adults doing things they wouldn't normally do versus watching a group of kids doing things they would normally do is much more entertaining.

Doing a kid show is like having an easy day at work, doing an adult show is like having a rewarding day at work. And we all need a rewarding day amidst the easy days.
